We at PEOPLE HUNT are hiring a Head of Payments on behalf of our iGaming client.
This is a key leadership role where you will build and scale the entire payments function to support international expansion and turn it into a true growth driver for the business.

Role Overview

We are looking for a strong Head of Payments who will design and lead the company’s payments vertical to support global growth.
You will oversee the entire payments infrastructure - from PSP and crypto integrations to compliance, conversion optimization, and internal process development.
This role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership and requires deep expertise in global payment systems across both fiat and crypto environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and execute the global payments strategy across the group.

• Develop, scale, and monitor a robust payments infrastructure covering both crypto and fiat.

• Manage integrations with payment service providers (PSPs), crypto providers, and local payment solutions.

• Implement cascade routing, transaction monitoring, and incident management frameworks.

• Drive risk management and anti-fraud initiatives in close collaboration with the Risk team.

• Design and optimize internal processes: define roadmaps, set performance metrics, and establish priorities.

• Build and lead a high-performing payments team: hiring, mentoring, and developing talent.

• Ensure regulatory and compliance adherence across all payment operations.

• Identify and implement initiatives to improve payment success rates and user conversion.

• Partner with Product, Finance, and Compliance teams to deliver scalable payment solutions for global markets.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading the payments function in iGaming, Fintech, or other high-risk industries.

• Deep understanding of global payment ecosystems, including PSPs, APMs, and crypto solutions.

• Hands-on experience with payment integrations, APIs, and provider management.

• Strong knowledge of compliance, risk, anti-fraud, and recurring payment scenarios.

• Experience working in international, distributed teams.

• Systems thinker with ability to define KPIs, accountability structures, and control mechanisms.

• Fluent in Russian (native) and English (Upper-Intermediate or higher).

• Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and a results-driven mindset with high attention to quality.
